After undergoing minor knee surgery at the end of January, Lauren has made a full recovery to return to the saddle in less than a month. Selected to compete on Team USA, she will ride in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup at CSIO4* Ocala beginning tomorrow, February 19.
Already with a solid day of competition under her belt from today, Lauren and Ohlala had only one time fault for overall 9th in the Welcome Stake, while she and Cornet were clear and into the jump off in the $34,600 Thursday Prix. She ultimately decided to opt out of the final round to save her horse for the team competition ahead.
Lauren is joined on the U.S. Team by Beezie Madden, McLain Ward, Ali Wolff, and Todd Minikus. Cornet will be her Nations Cup mount, and Ohlala will continue to compete in the speed classes at HITS Ocala.
